A Tuoi Tre article about cycling to school and dreaming of medicine

On July 27, 2012, Tuoi Tre published a Vietnamese article titled “Đạp xe đến trường mơ làm bác sĩ” (“Cycling to school and dreaming of becoming a doctor”). The article was about me, Khuynh Van Nguyen, shortly after I became a valedictorian at Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

The story captured a very ordinary part of my life at that time: waking up early to study, cooking to help my grandmother, and then cycling a long distance to school. Those routines were simply part of daily life for me, but looking back, I realize how much they shaped my persistence and my habit of self-study.

I keep this article here as a memory of my high school years in Que Son. My dream of becoming a doctor was simple then: to study well, find a way forward, and someday be able to help my family and contribute something meaningful to my hometown.

The original article is in Vietnamese and can be read on Tuoi Tre:
